starbucks tables are not sound-proof

i make a habit of going to starbucks for lunch.  there’s several reasons but the primary reasons are simple… internet.  and coffee.  i’m a bona-fide gold-card carrying member of starbucks, meaning i get free refills.  free is good, no matter what and always inspires brand loyalty.  

with how often i’ve sat in the back of starbucks, i’ve been able to sit near people and have unwittingly eavesdropped on conversations (i should remember to bring headphones).  it amazes me what people will say and talk about in starbucks, freely, as if no one else is around.  

entering and being in a coffee shop neither makes you anonymous nor does it create a little sound-proof bubble around you and your intended audience.  take care what you say.
